A hike on a mountain
Recently, my husband and I went on a hike on a nearby mountain. It is getting hot in Arizona this time of year, but the mountain was a crisp 50 degrees this week. I got some beautiful shots. This particular mountain actually lost a huge percent of trees to a wild fire more than 10 yrs ago. Naturally, it is still growing back.
Arizona Desert
A recent day in the desert here in the Arizona heat. Spring in the desert is not the same as in many places. No blooming flowers, no bright green grass, just the same desert you see all year long. Dry, dead cacti, heat, and abandoned garbage. It may not be beautiful to some but it is easy to miss when it isn’t taken in by the right eyes.
The Arizona Cliche (The Grand Canyon)
This past weekend my husband and I visited the Grand Canyon. This was something we had never done. I have seen several photographs taken of the Grand Canyon. I even went there when I was younger. But let me tell you something about this place, you can never fully feel the feeling the Grand Canyon gives you, without ever being there. My photographs from there this past weekend with help portray that feeling, the feeling of vastness, the feeling of being so tiny and insignificant in this huge world. Enjoy.
BFA Thesis Work
This is a select few photographs from my BFA Thesis show. These were all photographed in Tucson, AZ. This is a photo document of graffiti in Tucson Az of graffiti that was created in abandoned houses, washes, abandoned businesses, and bridges. It is notable that none of my photographs of graffiti were taken on a livable or workable space.
